I used to open Blender, stare at the cube, and immediately give up. Now I’m actually giving it a real shot. Sharing my progress, disasters, and everything in between, in hopes it encourages others to jump in and try something new too.

EVERYTHING KEPT EXPLODING
I followed along with the tutorial, “Blender Beginner Tutorial - Part 1” by CG Trader on Youtube. Everything was pretty straightforward until I got to the render animation portion. EVERYTHING KEPT EXPLODING. I scoured the internet looking for a reason this was happening. Tried every solution, but no luck. I finally noticed that multiple blocks were coming from one location. I had accidentally duplicated blocks and not moved them, so the rigid body physics were colliding right when the animation started. Once I deleted those blocks, everything worked perfectly.
lesson learned
Be patient, and keep watching the video when you run into an issue. CG Trader eventually talked about what to check for if your animation is exploding.
